Global transfer to HSBC accounts

1. Log on to www.hsbc.com.ph using your secure key.
2. From quick links menu, click on Link or unlink Global view accounts.
3. Search and select the country to be linked, read and accept the terms and conditions, then click Add.
4. You’ll be redirected to your selected country or region’s online banking, where you can enter your log on details.
5. Once logged on, follow the on screen instructions to link your accounts and complete the Global View registration.

Once you’ve set up Global view, the HSBC accounts under your name that you linked will now be visible from your HSBC Philippines online banking homepage.

To move money between your accounts, follow these simple steps:

Through online banking

1. Log on to www.hsbc.com.ph using your secure key.
2. From the quick links menu, select Pay and transfer.
3. Select your foreign currency denominated account that you wish to send money from using the drop-down list.
4. Click on Your accounts or existing payees and select from your international accounts.
5. Input the amount you want to send and follow the on-screen instructions. Review and confirm your transfer.

Through mobile banking

1. Log on to the HSBC Philippines Mobile Banking app.
2. Tap on Pay bills/Make a transfer.
3. Select your foreign currency denominated account that you wish to send money from.
4. Tap on your HSBC international account.
5. Input the amount you want to send and follow the onscreen instructions. Review and confirm your transfer.

You can move up to USD 200,000 (or the currency equivalent) per day between your accounts. Some countries and regions may have a maximum limit for inbound payments, so it’s important that you check with them first.

Global Transfers between HSBC accounts are usually instant in most countries, but it could take up to 5 working days in some countries.

Future-dated and recurring international payments

To cancel future-dated or recurring payments in online banking, follow these steps:

1. Select ‘Manage future dated requests’.
2. Select the transaction you’d like to cancel and press show details.
3. Review the transaction and click on Cancel transaction.

You may request cancelation anytime before 23:59 on the banking day preceding the payment due date.

The HSBC Global Transfer exchange rate will be applied to your instruction for most currencies. This is a real-time variable rate that changes frequently during market hours. You can check your rate by reviewing the prepayment disclosure you'll receive before making the transfer. For countries and regions with onshore trading regulations, we give an indicative rate as exchange can only take place when the transfer reaches the receiving bank.

Global Transfers are usually instant between your HSBC accounts in most currencies. They may, however, take up to 5 days in some countries and regions due to local regulatory requirements. In some exceptions beyond our control, it may not be possible to transfer through Global Transfers. In this case, please contact Customer Services or use another transfer method.

Outward Global Transfers to Family and Friends[@gvgt-third-parties] are currently not available in the Philippines.

HSBC accounts issued in the Philippines can only receive inward Global Transfers from Family & Friends (GTFF). Please check with the originating country if the service is available.

In most cases, it's not possible to cancel an HSBC Global Transfer because the transaction is almost immediate. For future-dated requests, you have until 23:59 on the working day before the money is due to be sent to cancel it. You must do this through online banking.

In the US, you can cancel for a full refund within 30 minutes of payment, unless the funds have already been picked up by, or deposited into an account of, the designated recipient.
